Angie Johnson

Kitchen Manager

I am originally from Tucson, Arizona, where I worked for the state police for 15 years. I met my boyfriend at a horse stable and well, the rest is history. He was already living in Yarnell, and my first visit was love at first sight. Now 20 years later I can say I have worked at almost every restaurant in town. For the past 5 years I have had the privilege of being the Kitchen Manager at the Yarnell Regional Community Center. The amazing people I work with and cook for are very near and dear to my heart. From planning the monthly menu, to preparing the meals and all the unexpected day to day surprises I have discovered my true passion. The YRCC kitchen also has an amazing support staff. Together we prepare nutritious, fun, and delicious meals for our clients and lunch time customers. Most of the food we prepare is done from scratch with a focus on rustic, homemade recipes. The main ingredients are love, compassion, patience, understanding and happiness. Between working at the YRCC, taking care of my 4 cats, 3 dogs, 12 chickens and 1 parrot, my days are pretty full. But I wouldn't change any of it for the world!
