IN-KIND DONATIONS

In-kind donations of goods and services are extremely valuable to the Center, enabling the YRCC to fulfill its mission of "providing services and programs that promote health and wellness, and enhance the quality of life throughout the greater community." There are many ways you can donate to the YRCC's work.

1 - Donate your unused items for resale in the YRCC thrift store.

2 - Donate food for a special event, or items for YRCC raffles and other fund-raisers.

3 - Donate cleaning supplies and equipment.

4 - Donate office supplies and equipment.

Although in-kind donations are not monetary donations they are not without value. The value of an item you donate is determined by you and your tax advisor. To provide you with guidance on the value of commonly donated items, we have provided some sample Item Values on this page. Donors are also advised to consult with their tax advisor and to refer to IRS Publication 526 - Charitable Contributions. The YRCC will issue a receipt for the amount you determine for the donation within IRS guidelines. Unless otherwise requested, the receipt will be sent to you via email.

THRIFT STORE DONATIONS

Please help us make the most of your donation:

Wash or dry clean clothing, clothing accessories, sheets, blankets, towels, curtains and tablecloths.

Test electrical equipment and battery-operated items. Include all pieces, parts and cords.

We Accept:

Furniture - sturdy, functioning pieces only, please

Clothing - men's, women's, children's & shoes

Accessories - hats, mitts, scarves & ties, purses, wallets, fanny packs, bags, backpacks

Household Items - towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, curtains, tablecloths, mugs, baskets, pots & pans, utensils, china cups, vases, dishes, cutlery, glassware, silverware, stemware, candles, toaster, small & large appliances, irons, blenders, mixers, stereos, DVD & VCR players, table & floor lamps, humidifiers

Media - hardback & paperback books, records, tapes, CD's, videos & DVD's, computer software

Children's Items - toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals, cribs, crafts

Tools & Gardening Items, Sports Equipment, Medical Equipment, Exercise Equipment, Furniture, Power Tools.

We're sorry, but we can't accept broken, soiled, hazardous, or flammable items.

The tables below provide guidance on the value of commonly donated goods. We urge you to consult your tax advisor for the federal, state, and local tax consequences of a charitable contribution. The Yarnell Community Center is not responsible for your ability or inability to deduct donations made and is not responsible for the valuations you determine on items donated.
