I’m honored to be asked to serve on the YRCC Board. I pastored Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church for twenty-two years and community involvement has always been a high priority. During the first ten years with the church I continued to do home repair which had paved my way through college and seminary. This work helped me meet and become friends with many people in our communities. I’ve served churches in Mississippi, California and Arizona as director of music and education with an emphasis on pastoral care. All of these experiences have made our small communities the perfect fit for me. Leaving the big cities to come here was like coming home for a rural Alabama boy. My interest include mountaineering (which I taught for ten years), RVing with my dear wife Voni, and finish woodworking. I am amazed at the diversity of our life here and the strength and vision that accept all who come.
