Truly, at the heart of what we do, it all centers around our Meals on Wheels program. This program allows us to deliver delicious and nutritious meals, as well as friendly connection and wellness checks to people over 400 square miles across the Weaver Mountains area. The Meals on Wheels program is the backbone of our organization, allowing us to center our mission around the health and wellness of our community.
Home Delivered Meals
For more than 50 years, Meals on Wheels has remained the most effective solution to address senior hunger and isolation. With our home delivered meals, homebound clients are still able to receive a healthy lunch, as well as a friendly connection with a kind neighbor. The YRCC's Meals on Wheels program currently delivers to over 400 square miles across the Weaver Mountains, including Yarnell, Peeples Valley, Wilhoit, Skull Valley, Kirkland, Congress, and North Ranch.
Yarnell and Peeples Valley residents have hot meals delivered every day, Monday through Friday, during lunchtime. Wilhoit, Skull Valley, Kirkland, and Congress have five frozen meals delivered once a week. North Ranch has ten frozen meals delivered twice a month. All deliveries include snacks and a drink.
