Our Purpose
Yarnell Regional Community Center exists to enrich the local greater Weaver Mountains community by fostering engagement and wellness through educational initiatives, fitness activities, and social programs. Our commitment ensures that everyone feels welcomed and included, highlighting our dedication to the welfare of all community members.

What We Do
We support and strengthen our neighbors through nutritious and affordable meals, inexpensive shopping opportunities, and programs that promote health and well-being. We also provide educational opportunities, connect individuals with valuable resources, and create welcoming spaces where people of all ages can build relationships, enjoy activities, and have fun. By fostering connection and ensuring access to essential services, we help make our community healthier, more engaged, and more vibrant for everyone.

Executive Director
As the Executive Director, Jordan Smith leads our initiatives with a vision of inclusivity and community engagement. With over ten years of experience in non-profit management, Jordan is dedicated to expanding services to meet community needs.
Diane Brown
Thrift Store Manager
With over 40 years in food service, hospitality, and customer service, including 30+ years of service management and co-owning of several vintage shops, Diane is the perfect person to be our thrift store manager. A woman of many talents, she handles volunteer schedules, oversees donations, stages the thrift store and decorates per season, helps keep the entire YRCC clean and organized, assists at our special events including creating beautiful food displays, and even manages the register! Doing all of these things is easy because Diane truly loves her community and is grateful to be of service to those who need it. Beyond that, she loves to garden and is very active in her church, often working with children's ministry and community service events.
Vanessa McMillan
MOW Marketing Coordinator & Admin
With experience in customer service, cooking, and teaching, as well as being educated and experienced in various types of writing, editing, and marketing, you will usually find Vanessa behind a computer making social media posts, marketing materials, or doing admin work for Meals on Wheels. But you may also catch her helping out in the thrift store, helping coordinate Meals on Wheels, taking videos and pictures, or jumping in anywhere she is needed. She loves being able to help in different areas and getting to learn more. Working at the YRCC has given her a feeling of purpose and community, and she especially enjoys getting to know the regular customers and volunteers. When she isn't at the YRCC, you will find her playing video games, fawning over animals, reading, and spending time with her family and beloved pets.

Kysha Dunkin
Kitchen Assistant
Kysha is a busy bee at the YRCC. Working hard behind the scenes in the kitchen, she may not be seen as much but her impact is felt every day. She has several years of experience in a restaurant setting and could work anywhere, but chooses to be part of the YRCC because she enjoys being able to help feed those in need in our community. While Kysha's focus is on keeping the kitchen and dishes clean in order to help keep the YRCC's Mid-Day cafe and Meals on Wheels program running smoothly, she enjoys being outdoors and finding time to relax when she isn't working hard at the YRCC.
Joyce Malone
Kitchen Assistant
Joyce has a special way of working with people, bringing a smile to all those around her, and using her time in customer service and caregiving to find ways to be helpful to all. A bit of a chameleon at the YRCC, she finds ways to help wherever she is needed, including her main duties working as an assistant in the kitchen, as well as working the front desk to welcome customers in for breakfast, and always with a smile. Coming out of retirement to work at the YRCC is meaningful for Joyce because of just how much she enjoys being around people, helping others, and keeping herself moving. On the rare occasion that you won't find Joyce at the YRCC, you will find her sketching or doing beautiful acrylic paintings.
Wendy Qualls
Bookkeeper
With over 40 years of accounting experience, Wendy is not just an excellent bookkeeper, but excellent at making sure that all the important things are organized and on track in the books. Her skillset sets her apart and makes her a key part of making sure our day-to-day operations can continue to run smoothly and efficiently. Working at the YRCC is meaningful for Wendy as she enjoys getting the chance to make meaningful connections with members of the community, even making a point to enjoy lunch in the dining room to help foster those meaningful connections with many of our customers. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys a quiet life with cross-stitching and servitude to her cats.

Austin Cranford
Facilities
Austin is our resident "do it" guy. You ask, and he will make it happen! With experience in maintenance, warehouse and inventory control, and some horticulture education, Austin is great at groundskeeping, light repairs, organizing our exterior sheds, and trying his best to make sure whatever you ask him to do gets done. You will probably see him all over the grounds of the YRCC doing a little bit of everything. As a true people person, he looks forward to keeping up with all the wonderful people that come in every day and getting to know new customers. When he isn't lifting things, moving things, running errands, or repairing things, Austin enjoys music, sports, visiting different areas of Yavapai County, and values his family life.
