David L Devaney


David was born in Bryn Mawr PA September 14,1946, one of five children of Irish, English, German descent. Upon graduating from St Joseph’s College, Philadelphia, PA in 1968, he served in the U. S. Army through 1971 with one tour of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the military, David pursued diversified careers in Public Accounting, Financial Services, Retail Sales and Real Estate Management. Simultaneous with the professional aspects of my life, he has been an active Family Caregiver, and volunteer in a variety of Charitable and Community based Organizations, including the, Boy Scouts of America, Boca Raton Florida Children’s Theatre, and the Surfside Beach Texas Historical Society, working on the reconstruction of Fort Velasco. Davide has also supported the Houston Texas Children’s Charity, where he functioned as the logistics coordinator and annual Christmas Party Santa Claus for a number of years. He is the father of three wonderful children and grandfather of five precious grandchildren. David moved to Yarnell on June 25, 2019 and enjoys writing poetry, making new friends and pursuing community service, while in retirement.
